TEK edges closer

Posted by Richard Goodwin on 10:29, 3/1/2002 | ,

TEKJan Klose has sent word that TEK (web; preview) is edging closer to completion, with pre-orders being taken. No deposit is required, and you also appear to receive most of Artex's back catalogue for your £30 TEK fee. You can even win an exclusive T-Shirt if you pop over to Acorn Gaming.

Contact Artex or RCI to place your pre-order.

Unregistered user Fantastic news! Can we expect a PC version too at some point? My Risc PC isn't in my bedroom and RTS games tend to mine long caffeine fueled nights ;)

Unregistered user Although a PC version is planned, the conversion hasn't (really) started yet. We will sell the RISC OS version first and see how it is accepted before starting. So I recommend you buy it for your RiscPC anyway ;)

Cheers,

Unregistered user I don't want to agree that this will be the last big release ever. I personally hope: maybe for a long time but not forever.

Unregistered user Well lets hope it's not the end. I'm afraid I don't hold out much hope. Lets enjoy Tek anyway. I'm hoping it will have i
nternet multiplayer so I can play some of you guys!

Unregistered user Do you still plan to release a level editor after you start selling the actual game?

Unregistered user Looks fantastic! What are the hardware requirements i.e. Does it need a StrongARM, will it run on ARM7500 based machines? Will it run on non StrongARM RISCPC's?

Unregistered user Can I have it before Half Term, please? Otherwise I'll have no excuse but to paint upstairs!

Unregistered user ... and another thing. According to Artex's site, ID will be released. Will that be for the PC only, though?
