Does anyone know of a PS/2 mouse and keyboard converter for Arc's pre Risc PC? Or PIC project for one?
I've found separate quadrature and keyboard converters, but not one that does both into the keyboard port as required by these older models.
I'm aware of the Avie/Atomwide Keyboard Encoder, but it also requires a PS2MM pushing the cost to near £100 per computer. |

I have a stack of Arc's for the Preservation Project, one or two of each model...I need to KVM them as something is going to break, continually moving keyboards/mice between them. |

Way too expensive, I need to KVM 8 Arcs. Cost of Arc's £300 ... cost to KVM £800 .... somehow, I don"t think so.
I've now purchased a PIC programmer and all the components, and will start designing my own boards with both mixed (pre Risc PC) and separate quadrature outputs (RISC PC). |
