I've just logged into my server to check what's been caught over the last week or so. A few gems follow...
Uncorrelated C. Sentenced - [no subject] (checks... ah, a 419 variant)
%FROM_NAME - All love enhancers on one portal!
Finbarr Shattles - Re: AMBtkEN Eluned Carreon - ditto Gwawr Fruge - ditto (& others, but those three names are the best)
Augustine Enoch - New part-time vacancies available in your area
Circumvention L. Chronometer - confirm please - Mark invested r0b 's market 0f J0hn
Cloudless V. Wounding - confirm please - with T0m r0b 's market indicated J0hn
The subject "Premier" comes from... - Potted E. Mongolians - Routine F. Strenuous - Ballroom S. Depopulates - Quarrying V. Suborn - Welters H. Grouchier - Kong A. Foreskins - Boots I. Abhorrence - Swum G. Exclusiveness - Tempted B. Deepens - Capyure L. Stricture
Holley L. Objectionable - re: SETH ana1yzed her penny with PEDR0
Spiel R. Commissioners - Software
Gounod P. Tiresomely, Delmarva O. Speechless, Attenuate H. Majesty, Sluttish U. Reception, Betters D. Workable - all 'The Ultimate Online Pharmaceuticals'
(Doncha just love browsers that allow copying and pasting?)
Hmm... and quite a lot from the strangely named 'Alliance & Leicester' & the equally odd 'Barclays Bank' ;-)
Also quite a lot from Ramon Brand and Randell Downs, both promising to help me gain two to three inches - but I'm actually trying to come /down/ a belt size at the moment. Or is that not what they meant!? O;-)
I've saved what I think is the best one 'til last:
Scatterbrained K. Sniveled - re: with her news her invest0r analyzed her news
<bin emptied>

99% of my spam is now arriving in the koi8-r charset, which means it's incredibly easy to spot and delete.
Unfortunately this also means that I don't have any spam names of the day to share with you (Unless "?????? ?????????" counts) |

Spam nursery rhyme of the day:
Moo Cow, Moo cow Moo cow, moo cow, How do you do, cow? Very well, thank you, Moo, moo, moo. Two Little Birds Sitting On a Wall Two little birds Sitting on a wall, One called Peter, One called Paul. Fly away Peter, Fly away Paul, Come back Peter, Come back Paul. Ladybird, Ladybird Ladybird, Ladybird, Fly away home, Your house is on fire, Your children all gone. This Little Pig This little pig went to market, This little pig stayed at home, This little pig had roast beef, This little pig had none, And this little pig went wee, wee, wee, All the way home.
All the way home. Ladybird, Ladybird, This little pig went to market, |

Slightly off-topic, but I received quite an original (to me) spam the other day. It was an attempted comment on the new mailing list post on www.riscository.com, and said:
"Hi. I just noticed that this page doesn't display correctly in my browser. Oh well, I think I'll just used the tried and tested Internet Explorer."
Looks innocent and valid enough, doesn't it?
Except the user's name is "acai berry extract exotic super fruit" and their URL is a site all about acai berries.
Edit: Actually, since I've quoted their "spam name" it isn't slightly off-topic, is it?

Hello <mail merge>, you currently have <mail merge> Stars Oh, wait, that's just a broken email from Nintendo. Although it is practically the same as spam as far as I'm concerned. |
