Stuart Tyrrell Developments have produced RISC OS drivers for a thermal dye, 6"x4" format photo printer. Despite RISC OS having two competing USB protocols, the drivers are suitable for both the Castle Iyonix USB and Simtec USB interfaces. A stand-alone version for emulator users will be available shortly.STD explains that "the Kodak Printer Dock 6000 employs a continuous tone thermal dye transfer technique to produce extremely high quality edge-to-edge prints on specialised card, beyond those available from traditional inkjet technology." The driver makes use of the Kodak PDumper that John Ballance (of Castle) has been working on.
The full package, including a starter pack of card and dye, is available for £199 inc VAT and carriage. If you prefer to shop around you can buy the RISC OS drivers alone for £19 inc.
